Which Mumba carrying cases fit the Nintendo Switch OLED?
All four Mumba Nintendo Switch OLED carrying case options are compatible with both the Switch OLED and the original Switch :
- Deluxe Plus: Mid-size. Holds the console with a Mumba Blade or Battle Series grip case attached, plus Joy-Cons, a charging cable, and 20 game cards.
- Deluxe Max: Largest capacity. Holds the console with a Blade Series case, plus a dock, Pro Controller, charger adapter, HDMI cable, earphones, and 27 game cards. Best for full-setup travel.
- Deluxe Standard: Mid-size. Fits the console with a Rugged or Slimfit Series case. Stores Joy-Cons, a charger, earphones, and 20 game cards.
- Deluxe Ultra Slim: Compact and lightweight. Fits the console with a Blade or Thunderbolt Series case. Best for everyday carry with minimal gear.
What is the difference between the Deluxe Plus and the Deluxe Max?
Both are premium Nintendo Switch carrying case options for Switch and Switch OLED, but they serve different travel needs.
The Deluxe Plus is a mid-size case that holds the console (with grip case), one pair of Joy-Cons, a charging cable, and 20 game cards. It is designed for daily commuting and short trips where you only need the essentials.
The Deluxe Max is the largest case Mumba offers. It can hold a console fitted with a Blade series case, as well as a dock, Pro Controller, charger adapter, HDMI cable, earphones, Joy-Con straps, and 27 game cards. It also includes an adjustable shoulder strap.
Are Mumba carrying cases waterproof?
No, they are water-resistant, but not fully waterproof or submersible. The outer shell is made from hard EVA material, and the zipper is covered but not hermetically sealed. The case will protect your console from light rain, splashes, condensation, and accidental drink spills, but it should not be submerged or left in standing water.
What is inside the carrying case? Is the interior soft?
Yes. Every Mumba Nintendo Switch OLED carry case is lined with plush velvet on the interior. This soft lining prevents scratches on the console body, screen, and Joy-Cons during storage and transit. The cases also include molded EVA foam compartments that hold the console, controllers, and accessories in fixed positions. Nothing shifts or rattles when the case moves.
Will these carrying cases fit the Nintendo Switch 2?
No. All four carrying cases on this page are designed for the Nintendo Switch OLED (2021) and the original Nintendo Switch (2017). They will not fit the Nintendo Switch 2 (2025), which has a larger body and different dimensions. Mumba offers a separate line of carrying cases built specifically for the Switch 2. Please visit the Switch 2 Carrying Cases page for those options.
Will these carrying cases fit the Nintendo Switch Lite?
The Lite may shift around inside, and the fit will not be snug. Because the Switch Lite (2019) is smaller than both the original Switch and the Switch OLED. It can physically fit inside these carrying cases, but the internal foam compartments are molded for the larger console dimensions.
For a dedicated, form-fitting carry solution for the Switch Lite, consider a third-party slim case sized for the Lite's compact body. Mumba does not currently offer a carrying case designed specifically for the Switch Lite.
How many game cards can I store in a Mumba carrying case?
Mumba carrying cases store up to 27 game cards, depending on the model:
- Deluxe Max: 27 game cards
- Deluxe Plus & Deluxe Standard: 20 game cards
- Deluxe Ultra Slim: 10 game cards
All card slots are built into the interior lining with snug holders that keep cards secure during travel but are easy to pop out when needed.
What warranty does Mumba offer on its carrying cases?
Mumba provides a 365-day warranty on all carrying cases for Nintendo Switch and Switch OLED. If your case shows defects in material or workmanship within one year of purchase, Mumba will replace it at no cost. Visit the Support page if you need to start a warranty claim.
